Director and Associate Directors
The Grand Union DTP is led by the Director, Professor Rebecca Surender, Associate Head of the Social Sciences Division (Graduate and Research Training) and Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford.
The Associate Directors are Professor Steve Pile, Professor of Human Geography at The Open University, and Professor Louise Mansfield, Professor in Sport, Health and Social Sciences at Brunel University London.
Management Board
The Grand Union DTP Management Board is responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of the DTP grant and partnership activities. The Management Board is chaired by the DTP Director, co-chaired by the Associate Directors, and its membership includes all the pathway leads. Membership also includes elected full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) student representatives. The Management Board meets termly, and appoints the Grand Union Studentship Awards Panel from its membership.
Scholars Association
The Scholars Association consists of three Co-Chairs (one from each partner institution), who act as student representatives on Management Board. The association organises social and academic activities, and provides the opportunity for students to develop leadership skills
