Do you have an idea for an interdisciplinary seminar, event or network you'd like to host? Would you like to invite a speaker or bring together research students from other departments? This fund offers the opportunity to make the most of the Grand Union DTP's resources and lead an innovative project.
Grand Union DTP ESRC studentship holders are eligible to apply to the Incubator Fund for up to £1000 to support interdisciplinary events and networks. Bids will normally bring together students or researchers from more than one department or research area, and involve at least one ESRC-funded doctoral student. Students and participants from outside of the Grand Union DTP can also be involved. The scheme is intended to support new or recently established networks or groups.
You should apply to the DTP Office of your home institution at least 3 months before the proposed trip to ensure time for consideration and to give you plenty of planning time (if you have concerns about meeting this timeframe, please contact your local DTP office). Applications received within 3 months of the intended activity will be reviewed in exceptional circumstances and for applications we receive within 1 month we may not be able review or provide support for the activity.
Please ensure you read the guidelines for further details on the scheme and applying for support.
