GUDTP Student Mini-Networks

New GUDTP Student Mini-Networks

This is an opportunity to start up some new conversations with other students across the GUDTP. We're opening a call for proposals for a new series of mini-networks based around the subjects you're interested in. To propose an idea for a network focus, simply send us an email by March 9 2026.

What are these mini-networks?

They will be a chance for students with shared research interests to find one another across the GUDTP. The networks could take the form of reading groups, discussion forums and/or places to get feedback on work in progress. There isn't a fixed template. The idea is that they will serve the needs of the network members.

What do I need to do?

Maybe there's a topic you really want to develop your understanding of for your research. Or a methodological approach you would like to find out more about. If you have something that you would like to discuss with other GUDTP students, send us an email and tell us about it.

Please tell us

  1. What would you like a network to focus on? (Summarise your proposal in a few words)
  2. Would you be interested in acting as the network convenor? (Yes/No).

What happens to the proposals?

The Scholars' Association will collate all the proposals and cluster them into groups of similar ideas. We will then post these groups back round to all DTP students with an invitation to sign up for any networks that look useful. You'll be able to see which group your proposal is in as well as how many proposals have been clustered into each group.

When will the mini-networks start?

We're aiming to have the call for proposals and the follow-up call for participants done this term so that the networks can start next term.

I still have questions. Who do I ask?

Please email Nick (nick.sidwell@ouce.ox.ac.uk) or Freya (freya.colenorton@law.ox.ac.uk) and we'd be happy to help.
